# Leverage

Leverage trading lets you trade with borrowed capital. By combining your own funds with capital lent by the platform, you can open a position larger than your cash alone would allow. This cuts both ways: when the market moves in your favor, your gains are amplified; when it moves against you, so are your losses.

StableStock Leverage lets you trade stocks on leverage directly from your account. It runs in isolated mode — each position's funds and risk are ring-fenced from your spot account and from your other positions, so what happens to one position never spills over into another. Everything is settled in USDT or USDC, and you fund a position by first transferring USDT or USDC into your leverage account.

KYC verification is required before you can open a leverage account.
